Cross Valley recognized as leader in financial literacy.

When it comes to financial well-being, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Sometimes, what people need most is someone they can trust to answer questions, offer guidance and help them feel more confident about their next step.

That’s why Cross Valley Federal Credit Union is proud to share that it was recently recognized by the CrossState Credit Union Association as one of its 2026 Leaders in Financial Literacy. The award was presented during the CUConnect2026 convention and highlights the credit union’s ongoing commitment to helping members improve their financial well-being.

A big part of that effort is WealthWise, Cross Valley’s free financial well-being program. Available to members, their family members and anyone living in their household, WealthWise provides access to personalized financial guidance from certified professionals who are focused on education, not sales.

Whether someone is creating a budget, working to improve their credit score, planning for a major purchase or simply looking to better understand their finances, WealthWise is designed to meet people where they are.

Today, Cross Valley has four WealthWise Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate financial decisions with confidence.

While the award is certainly an honor, the real success stories are the people who leave a conversation feeling more informed, more empowered and more prepared for whatever comes next. That’s what WealthWise is all about.

Cross Valley Is Growing in Hazleton

We’re so excited to officially announce plans for a new full-service branch location coming to the Church Hill Mall Plaza this summer!

Our new Hazleton branch marks an exciting next chapter for Cross Valley as we introduce our very first shipping container branch concept — a modern, flexible and community-focused approach to banking designed to grow alongside the communities we serve.

“Our goal is always to meet people where they are,” said Traci Donahue, CEO of Cross Valley Federal Credit Union. “This design allows us to create a welcoming and efficient space for members today while giving us the ability to thoughtfully expand in the future as the community continues to grow.” The new branch will bring a fresh and distinctive presence to the Hazleton area while supporting sustainable, long-term growth for years to come.

We are so proud to continue building our presence in Hazleton and strengthening relationships throughout the community. With Hazleton’s vibrant, growing and diverse population, we see tremendous opportunity to expand access to affordable financial services, personalized support, financial education and community involvement — while continuing to deepen our commitment to serving Hazleton’s Hispanic community.

Most importantly, we’re excited to become part of the neighborhood. Construction and planning efforts are continuing to move forward, with additional updates and grand opening details expected to be shared in the coming months. Keep an eye on this page for updates and announcements!
